Getting ready for the Holidays

It may seem a little early, but here at Soap Cafe we are getting ready for the holidays. With the addition earlier this year of our bar soap we must start early due to the 4-6 week cure time. In addition to filling MGM orders we have been making great bar soaps for the holidays. The favorite this week is a Pumpkin Lager. It has sweet notes of cinnamon and sugar without that sweet headache scent, delicious! This soap and many others will be available the last week of October!

Bigger Soap Bunny

Happy Afternoon!~ After receiving a request for a larger bunny soap I made one. I love him he's so cute and twice the size of the little soap bunnies (but you get two with those)

Each Chocolate scented soap bunny is about 5 inch tall and comes wrapped in a cello bag with our pink ribbon.

Take a look. He is available now on my site www.SoapCafe.com or Etsy

Weekend Soaps

Over the past few weeks I have been increasing production for some events I will be doing this Spring/Summer (more on that to come later) This last weekend I made 2 different soaps. One is a Nakie Bar or Nakid bar that contains no frangrance and no colorant. Just a natural bar of soap with nothing added. This is for my customers who may be sensitive to scents and don't want anything extra.
The second bar is Tropical Lychee. This bar smells fruity and exotic without smelling like a tropical beverage or being heahachy. Next up, a blue bar and I am tring the colum swirl again, hopefully with better results.

Way too Long~

It's been way too long since I posted. Over a year! I must get better. Lately I have been working on CP soap making. This is a different process than soaps I have offered before. These soaps are made from oils and butters. Yesterday I made a Sedona Sunset soap. It smells AMAZING and is very colorful.

These soaps must cure 4-6 weeks before they will be available.

Candy Overload

Halloween is over and the sugar hangover has begun. At Soap Cafe the best seller has ALWAYS been Soap Bon Bons followed by Tubcakes. For the holidays I offer the Soap BonBons wrapped holiday style. They are in the same great gold box but wrapped in red fioils and a red bow. This all came about when I made about 20 boxes as favors for a company dinner party as a request. The bon bons were being given to the wifes of the international visitors from Japan. I am now offering them again in the red foils and red bows for a limited time.

Black Eye Licorice & Graveyard Bar - 2 pack

I've been working on some Halloween Soaps for a few days and finally finished them up. I am so happy with the way they turned out! Below is the listing on Etsy, since they are the "normal' soap cafe treats!
Your soap is looking at you and there is a skeleton in the shower, it must be Halloween. Each box contains one of each 4oz bars, for a total of 8oz. The first bar is our Black Eye Licorice bar, which contains 3 soap eyes and in smells just like black licorice. The second bar is a Graveyard bar and contains a soap skeleton and is scented an osthmanthus, floral/fruity scent. Two soaps packaged together in one clear box, each shrink wrapped.

Halloween is almost here!

One of my favorite times of year is Halloween. The decorations at our house have been up for weeks. The table is set all scary and pumpkins are all around. Tonight we will be making scary soaps at the Soap Cafe. Last year one of our pumpkins was a Cheshire cat, enjoy!

Cupcake

One of the first soaps I made here at Soap Cafe was a cupcake soap over 6 years ago. Since then there have been many soap cupcakes on the market as the cupcake craze exploded. I have offered mini soap cupcakes in 3 packs and also as favors for baby showers and weddings and had been looking for the right way to showcase 1/2 dozen mini cupcakes. I found "the box" and now are offering 1/2 dozen mini cupcake soaps. Instead of the usual chocolate and strawberry I decided to mix it up and they are scented raspberry, lemon and orange. Swirled Fruit Punch

Soap Cafe has bags and bags of soap scraps and we had nothing to do with them until a few weeks ago. These scraps aren't bad soap, just left over in the container while making strawberries or sushi soap ect. They are very colorful and smell great. So after seeing of some pretty swirled soap I decided to use my scraps just for this. I have made 2 batches so far. First batch was a nice fall soap scented of sweet cinnamon and sugar that I gave a few bars away and the rest were purchased by the person I gave a bar to, for them to give as gifts to house guests they were going to be having for the next several weeks. The other batch I made yesterday and it was fruity leftovers so I named it "Swirled Fruit Punch", added some glitter and a little more fruit scent and below is how it came out. This picture is taken with the phone and before they were cleaned and wrapped, just after cutting. I love them and can't wait to make more!

I am always working on new soaps. Tweeking, experimenting, trying to find the perfect mold, or make the perfect mold. After months and months I am finally happy with the out come and then comes packaging and how am I going to label them. For over a year I have been working on soap lollipops. I have searched for the perfect mold, bought many, made my own and now I finally have what I was looking for. BEHOLD the soap lollipop! Currently they are in 3 scents, Pink Starwberry, Lemon Yellow and a Blue Blueberry. They are so so cute! I am also offering them in a box of 12 , perfect for party or baby shower favors. I am open to custom scents & colors for special orders.

New Soap Favors

I decided to add Favors to the Soap Cafe site. I have done soap favors before for baby showers and birthday parties but they were never on my site, just done as special requests. I have done mini cupcakes, donuts and soap slices. I have added regular size donuts and whole soap pies to the site so far in the favor section. More items to come soon such as the mini donuts, mini cupcakes and cookies! Here is a photo of a dozen soap donuts!

National Pie Day is January 23rd. Why not celebrate calorie free with a 3 pack of Soap Pie Slices. This 3 pack is new and just added to the site.

You may choose scents from a list of pre-paired scents. I will be adding new slices in the coming few weeks. I am really excited about some new offerings from Soap Cafe. I have been writting down ideas for years in notebooks and it sometimes takes a while to perfect them the way i want and find the proper packaging.

Peppermint Bark Soap

My new favorite is my Peppermint Bark Soap. This little beauty here was inspired by the Crate and Barrel catalog I received a month or so ago. It is a layer of milk chocolate soap and then a layer of white chocolate soap topped with peppermint chunks. It smells so so good. I just used the last of my own piece of peppermint bark. I also have a batch of chocolate mint soap waiting to be added to the site, maybe tonight.
I am looking to add another holiday favorite so let me know what your favorite holiday treat is, you never know I might just have to "bake" you favorite soap treats up!

Tropical Snowflakes

I worked on these snowflakes back in October. I made a few as testers and I scented them with a tropical scent which contains bananas, coconut etc. To me they smell like yummy pina coladas. So I named them Tropical Snowflakes.

They aren't my regular "foodie" soaps but I still like them so. I have them on my site. They are placed in a pretty sliver box & I will be wrapping them with a bow to which isn't pictured.
